I wanted to challenge myself after making a dvd rack out of pine, so I decided on making this table for a Christmas gift for my Mother-in-Law. It is my first real effort at drafting, and constructing a project. The legs are accually 2 pieces of oak, cut at a 45 and joined. No nails, or screws on this, all dowels and glue. I have to say, for a second project, I could not of hoped for better results. A learning expierience in patients, method, and skill.

You’re totally ramping up your skills. We’ve all been there. Drafting the project, going from pine to oak, joinery, etc. Very nicely done. You’re making great progess. From here, you’re only limited by your imagination (and time, and money, but that’s beside the point).
