Used Red Oak. Looking at front, Left side is DVD drawer (looks as if it is a door and has speaker cloths covering front to match Right side), Middle is electronics, Right is door with speaker cloth covering opening for sub woofer. Center doors are grayed glass. The center back is removable for ease of working on the back of equipment. Unit has glass top. Measures 54”X36”X24”. Sits underneath a 47” TV.

Nice entertainment center. I am going to be building one like this made to look like a built in. What did you for ventalation? Im worried about the amp over heating after a long night of movie watching.

i like the tapered rails although i maybe would have swapped sides of the outer 2 just to give it a more uniform taper. other then that i think it looks great

Hey Mike,
I don’t know if I would do the tapered rails again. I tried it both way prior to assembling. The way I did it looked more symetrical (in these pictures they don’t look that way). I think something with more of an arch across the front would look better.
