A few years ago a friend gave me a small Craftsman bandsaw. I didn’t need the bandsaw, but I needed a sander. So I cannibalized the motor, switch and a wheel and turned it into a 10” disc sander. I sacrificed a tilting table for dust collection. I couldn’t figure out how to do both. To my amazement it works quite well and is square.

Nice design. I like the idea you can remove the top and have good access to replace the disc.
