I finished this up last night. It was cut from a solid block of paduak that was roughly 4×4 x 10. If nothing else, I discovered the importance of having a good sharp blade. It’s a long way from perfect, but it does not look too bad. I took this on primarily as a learning experience, but once it was finished my wife took no time at all to figure out who she was going to give it to for Christmas.
It’s only the third bandsaw I’ve made, and the other two were in a class. I learned a lot in the making of this one. I’m confident the next one will be better. I already have something in mind.
