This is my second bowl that I used segmented rings on. The base is curly maple and the rings are walnut and maple. The rings turned out better than my previous bowl because I glued the rings and half, made a disc sander for my lathe then sanded the two sides till they were flush and glued them together. My idea here was to turn the base narrow and flare out the bottom so that it has a floating look to it. Now I have to decide if I want to keep it or gift it for Xmas.

Thanks for looking,

That came out wonderful. If you gift it away I am certain the recipient will be very happy with it.
