Was asked to make a chest-lid shadow box by a Navy colleague that had seen my work on Lumberjocks.

The case is dove-tailed American Cherry, with a 4 mm. Lexan face. It was hoped that it would look like the lid of an old sea chest. It’s finished in Varithane Cabernet Stain and a Matte Min-wax polyurethane. The handles are monkey’s paws, with hardware that resembles scuppers.

That’s a real beauty. Congratulations.
