This is a shallow bowl turned from silky oak; I think its marketed as lacewood in america. this one is turned with a bead on the rim.
This is the first project I’ve used my light tent with. it made a big difference but I’m still learning how to get the best results with it.
180mm across by 35mm deep (7 by 1 1/2)
finished with EEE Ultra Shine and Shellawax
thanks for looking
comments and critiques welcome

Master Broda
You are certainly getting the hang of this turning thing.. keep it up.
The light box is working well too.

Very fine turning. I like the ridge on the edge. Gives it a little something different.
Light box works great. Nice clear pics to show your fantastic workmanship.
Keep it up.

Another very beautiful bowl with the ridge on the edge. The use of light tent has definitely produced better results. You will improve upon it as you use it more and more.

G’day mate.
Was in your part of the world 2 years back.
Very creative people you bunch.
I see it starts off at an early age/
Well done. Thinking back, I wish I had natural talent like you have at your age.
I wonder what you will be able to do 5 years from now??????
