Claro Walnut Burl Bowl.

We had some high water from the river next to my shop. Luckily no water in the shop this time. It became a good “dry run” on lifting things up off the floor anyway. So when I got tired of moving stuff up, and then back down (after cleaning the floor again), I turned this bowl.
I turned the bottom first, then flipped it around and turned the top and inside next.
This wood has some nice dark walnut with some very nice caramel swirls.

Sweet bowl out of some outstanding claro. I hope you continue to stay dry. My wet/dry shop vac is finally earning it’s keep. Real soggy here in the valley. Thanks for posting.

Nice bowl Eric, dark wood is appealing.

Outstanding grain on that bowl. Flooding is the worst stay dry.

-- I love my lathe. It’s old, not too pretty and I don’t really know how to use it… Love it!
