Walnut poker table

Project by JoeB posted 93 days ago 721 views 5 times favorited 13 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I made this reversible table on commission for a friend’s 50th birthday. It’s solid walnut with walnut veneer in the center, over the felt insert.

Outstanding. I love the chip racks. Most chip racks don’t offer enough capacity for long games.

Well done.

That is a really cool design. I especially like how the top flips over for the felt. It’s a wonderful touch. Got any pics of the bottom?

I am curious now that the walnut is not so dark. Great finishing job.

Nice job, but how did you cut the chip trays? Did you make a router jig?

Sandy,
Yes, I made on section of the octogon out of oak using a 1/4 inch hardboard template, then once that was perfect (give or take) I sawed off the top 1/4 inch of the oak to use as a template to route the 8 walnut sections.
