Decided to try some different shaped ring/trinket boxes using different woods. Woods used are:
1. Tasmanian Black Hearted Sassafras
2. Tasmanian Huon Pine
3. Australian Stringy Bark Gum
4. Osage Orange
5. Tasmanian Celery Top Pine
6. Australian River red Gum
The wood for the lids were from the centres saved from other blanks using Dick Stuessy’s Bowlsaw.

Fantastic job on a fine group of boxes. Can I steel all your designs? haha You have given me more ideas on what to turn with some small chunks of wood I have around. Thank you for the insparation.
Keep up the great work.

Thank you all for the great comments, real encouraging when someone compliments your work.
Nice to think that members can get ideas from them and hope you can use and improve on them.
I thought the plate for the base would be a bit different..
Scrappy, go for it mate, nice way to use up spare wood as they can be of any size.
