first is padauk/purpleheart with curly maple 2ND is purpleheart padauk and hickory 3rd is hickory and purpleheart all end grain finished with watsco bowl finish

thanks all, larry you did not give me a hard time about the mistakes. lol
1ts board last row not flipped and on the 2nd board did not keep track of the pieces so after the glue up (of course) i noticed some of the pieces were not in sequence so the dark grain in the hickory did not align up properly on all the seams. did not make that mistake in the 1 in the clamps now lol.
rick i learned this from watching larrys work all cuts are at 60 deg. glued up then cut at 1 inch strips then fliped on there side (endgrain up) glued up again same proces as the other boards but cut at 60 deg. instead of 90 deg. this is the 2nd 1 i have made i like this better that my last post
dustbunny you and my daughter think alike she is always looking over my shoulder to see if there is any scrap purpleheart left over so she can use for her pens
