Nice bowls Nicole!
How did you get Mark out of the shop to turn these? Will we see a video on these from you? Isn’t there a saying, the family that woodworks together stays together?

What kind of proof is this? When my daughters were young, they “made” a berry box and a bongo board as school projects. I have about twenty staged digital shots to prove they did it, haha.

It is proof enough for me. Nice going Nicole. Maybe you can take one of Mark’s cutting boards and turn those into bowls too? Then again, he might not be happy with that…

Ok, Lar, are you saying that in between photo one and photo two should be the phrase, “and then a miracle occurs?”
Nice work, Nicole. Is the second picture maple burl?

Knock on wood, the main miracle we continue to share in our woodshops is ongoing safety and absence from accidents.

I think Lar just wants to see a video!! :)
Beautiful bowls Nicole. Each are unique – and would be a lovely addition to any decor.
So, when is the video podcast coming out?

hehe ya I don’t think he would be happy with me if I took one of his cutting boards. And yes Marc and I are planning a beginners woodturning podcast called As Nicole Turns. However it will be at least a month before that comes out. We got over 3 hours of video from AWFS and those will be out first :)

Oh I forgot the first bowl is a walnut burl that we got from David Marks. I call it my key bowl :)

Hi Nicole,
Glad to see you are a woodworker also, not just another pretty face! haha
The bowls are great. I’m confused my the perspective, I thought the dust collector was on that wall?

There’s no doubt that this site is built on a lot of trust. Perhaps none of us are really woodworkers. LOL
Nice work Nicole. And what a great story to be able to say the Walnut Burl came from David Mark’s collection.

There are woodworkers here? I thought this was a chat room ;)

Well done Nicole. I think I’ve given you a hard time about posting some photos a time or two. Glad to see you shared some of your work. Marc better watch out.

Nice work Nicole. I’m glad you gave up the type of blank bowl #1 came from. It’s spectacular. Good to see you around here, since Marc is the reason I landed here in the first place.

Great set of bowls. And great to see you posting. Marc doesn’t have much time for us anymore. So you can take over being the active LumberJock in the family.
