I made this saw till with cherry, spalted cherry for the drawers face and basswood for the drawers boxes, I finished it with Danish oil and wax, note that the knobs are temporary until I make new ones that are more appropriate.

Very nice! I need to collect some more hand saws so I have an excuse for something like this.

I’m glad you made that point about the knobs. Other than them it’s beautiful. Lorax, I too need to expand my collection before I can take on a project like this.

Very nice!

I notice that you have way too many saws, though, for one woodworker! You really only need a rip and a crosscut. There are folks out here that could help you with your saw problem, just PM and I’ll tell you my shipping address… :)

Thanks every body for the comments, note that in my hand saw collection I don’t have the same saw twice, I have mostly Disstons I also have one Spear & Jacson, two Shurlys (Canadian) and one Ramada (Portugese), I might sell one to replace it by a better one in the future but for now I,m OK I am not a hoarder I just want to have a small collection to restore and use, I love vintage hand saws they look beautiful, my next till will be a hand plane till and I will use cherry again.

Great Project, I have a saw till on my list of projects to make and I really like your design. How far apart did you space the grooves to hold the saws?

I spaced the grooves 1’’ 1/2, thanks for the nice comment, feel free to copy the design or part of it !
