To better utilize area under the sink, I have built a vertical drawer that perfectly fits space available. The drawer front is slightly indented, the slides are under the bottom of the drawer.

The box and the drawer are built with oak plywood, banded with oak veneer. The drawer front is made of solid wood. Box and drawer are assembled with pocket screw joinery, front panel was nailed with finish nailer.

Using oak was not a good idea as I wanted to get a smooth painted surface – red oak wood has large pores that are hard to fill.

Finish – Rust-Oleum black satin enamel, wax.

Nice use of that space.
