This hollow form vessel is turned from end grain, fiddle back maple. It measures approximately 6 inches tall by 5 inches wide. It is finished with aniline dyes and wipe-on poly.

Gorgeous! I think I’ve seen some old shooter marbles that looked like this. Are you naming these latest pieces after famous people?

This piece was named after Brett Farve. The color reminds me of his new team colors, the Vikings. I will enjoy watching the bears do some purple people eating this year.

Ah, cool. Best of luck to you and your team!
This is another one of those pieces that has at least inches worth of perceived depth. The blackness looks like an endless void, and the colors seem to recede off into forever.

So, I think that you’ve created a unique series of NFL inspired turnings? When you do the Rex Grossman piece, will it be black and blue? (Lifelong Viking fan in NJ- Brett isn’t the savior, but he beats TJ hands down!)
P.S. If you really wanted to do a Favre piece, it would have been GREEN for the color of that contract he signed!

A1Jim is right, it does look like a Tahitian Black Pearl. A real beauty! I love it! (I’m dusting off a space on my shelf!)
