This is my first furniture project. I am new to woodworking and wanted to keep the construction simple. I used pocket hole screws to join the apron to the table legs. The base is painted with milk paint finished with one coat BLO and 3 coats wipe on poly. I learned a ton on this project, and am looking forward to trying some new techniques on the next one.

Very nice job. I like the contrast between the frame and the top.

Great work! I love the clean, sturdy lines and the tapered leg bottoms. The top looks absolutely perfect on that base.

I’m in the process of attempting to design an island for my kitchen and it’s not easy.
