This project grew out of the stack of craft supplies, etc. that sprouted in our bedroom, which is just off of this office. My wife loves to scrapbook and sew and hopefully this will allow her to do that better, while providing a less cluttered bedroom for me. The cabinets are nothing but popular and plywood. The countertop is edge-banded oak plywood. The drawers were designed to her specifications…including drawers to hold scrapbooking paper and spools of thread. This was the largest project I have ever taken on…needless to say I had some project fatigue by the time I was finished.

Is that sewing machine built into the desk?? That looks so cool! Awesome work and I plan to use this as one of my wishlist items for my new desks to be build in the near future!

Your project turned out great. Nice contrast with the oak counter tops with the white cabinets. Rest up from your fatique and jump on another project. I’m sure there are a few more items on the honey-to-do list. lol. Thanks for sharing and we look forward to your next project. Welcome to Lumber Jocks.

Christopher …
Great job …. nice addition to the room and nothing better than the look of built-in’s. Don’t stop now .. you’re on a roll! Start that next project before you lose your momentum.

My wife would absolutely love something like this. Someday, after I learn what I’m doing.
