My granddaughter sent me a picture of a framed earring holder that hung on the wall. She wanted one for Christmas. I didn’t like the (thrown together) way the picture looked so I designed this one for her.
The removable earring frame needs the loose woven cloth put in it, to be finished.
The frame and drawer fronts are made with Tiger Maple. The rest of the box, drawers etc., are made with Pecan.
I added Box Joints and Beveled Corners for looks.
I lined the top and drawer bottoms with Leather Suede.
The finish is two coats of Linseed Oil.
Thanks for looking.

”I added Box Joints and Beveled Corners for looks.” ... ”Beautiful design. Dovetails look great.” ...

Yessir I think we have a new fad here, ‘The Beveled Box Joint Dovetail’.

This is a great jewelry keep Duck, ... My wife took one look and asked why I wasn’t in the shop making her a version.
I asked ‘Woodworker Source’ if they would stock some Pecan so that I could try it .. and they said they would call when my wood was in. It is a pretty wood, but nothing like that ‘Tiger Maple’.

Grumpy,
They are box joints. I didn’t want to say anything. My wife picked up some red burlap cloth today. Looks good.

Yep, I know, I was just pulling Ivan’s leg … Google Translate does some silly things. IE: Type in an American (English) statement, convert it to say, Dutch, then take the Dutch translation and convert that to something else and then back to English. Some times you will be amazed at what Google says that you said.

I really like the beveled corners, I’m going to try a round-over on a practice piece to see what happens.
