Deck/Arbor Combo

Another one of the deck/arbor combos that Gary and I did in the Austin area (Steiner Ranch). The design is by Jeff Dailey. The iron railing and iron grape vine, and lighting were done by other local Austin area contractors. This combo has got to be one of the most rewarding jobs that I have ever been a part of. The decking is ipe and the arbor and under decking slats are cedar. The non-iron railing is coated cable. Jim knew how to get the most out of us.

I wish that I could take credit for the design, but that was ALL Jeff Dailey and the home owner. I was simply a saw jockey with a nail gun.

Lol guys, look at the exterior.
The things you put must have something in comon with what is there already otherwise it does not go togheter lol.
You did such a great job and it does not benefit the main thing – house, bad thinking guys lol.

Looks Great to me, Kris! Was the person with the checkbook Happy? You know, the one who helped to design it, and wanted it on THEIR home, AND forked over the $$$? That’s the bottom line, isn’t it?
You fellas are doing some great work out there, keep ‘em coming!

The continuation of the arch design, from the home, is nicely integrated in your arbor. Nice touch and superbly executed.

Found this going through old projects. What a great addition to the house! You start with a building, and make it a showpiece. It must have been fun to help put this one up. Very striking look. Good job! Have there been others since?
