I don’t recall where I saw the article for this sawbench but it looked like it would be handy so I built it; it has certainly fulfilled my expectations – I use it often both for hand sawing and as a step stool. Built from some AC plywood I got at the local hardware/lumber store and a little oak for the feet.

Jim, looks good, just like the one I made from an article in Popular Woodworking mag. I just took mine from San Diego to Oregon whiile working on our house there. Just had to remove a few screws and everything laid flat for the trip and then reassembled once we arrived, works like a champ.

Sometimes the simple projects are the handiest and most satisfying… like this seems to have be. Not everything has to be a Maloof rocker. Great work.
