As the title says, these are various other frames I’ve made since I started woodworking.
The cherubs print was one I bought in Venice as a gift for my older daughter’s room. The frame is a lamination “sandwich” of bloodwood, padauk, lacewood, peruvian walnut and birdseye maple. I splined the corners with maple splines as well.
The one with a single picture and several empty windows with names in them was a gift to my mother to let her know that we were expecting our second child in the Summer of ‘04. The intent was to have pictures of all of her grandchildren in one frame – with the exception of one empty space to be filled later. I just didn’t get pictures of all of my neices and nephews in time for Christmas. That frame is a lamination sandwich of black walnut, birdseye maple, bloodwood, padauk and lacewood – again with maple-splined corners.
The rest of the frames are for various pictures my wife and I have taken on our travels. They’re mahogany frames with maple strips inlayed (not laminations). The corners are splined, again with maple.

They look great, I would like to fix my mother one for her grand children, But I could not afford the lumber to build one big enough for eighteen pictures .
