This statue is about 16” tall and is mounted on a turned walnut base that I made by by gluing up five 5” by 5” by 8/4 walnut squares. It is a replica of the statue that sits upon our state capital and the base is to represent the capital dome. I have made eight of these which we give to our outgoing chair of The State Chamber at the completion of their year in office.

Nice project. Is the carved from wood or is it another material?

The actual statue is cast in bronze by the artist and sells w/o a base for $600.00. I have obtained a smaller version that I used for an Oklahoma outline plaque. I will post a photo of that project soon.
