My wife showed me a picture of a trunk that her daughter wanted for Xmas and we came up with this
One. It is lined with cedar on the inside and has some decorative metal around the lid and corners I cut out
Of some scrap metal and painted the trim piece around the lid is 1/8 inch steel nailed on.
We are still waiting on the handles we ordered online. The finish is a distressed look I reckon. That’s the look she wanted and it’s hard to really see the actual colors in the pictures but it actually doesn’t look bad.
I think she will like to it for her memories and keepsakes.

Metal parts make it more exeptional.

Nice job. Would look great in any Medieval castle !
