This is one of my signature lamps. They are made with multiple layers of different woods. This is an 8-sided lamp. I always add inlay at the joints. Now don’t have any problems with the inlay, but when I first started making these lamps I had some costly mistakes. The most painful mistake was not taking my inlay deep enough and then getting a little carried away on the lathe. Whoops!

Absolutely amazing lamp! I’m curious about the woods used. Also, Where did you get the great shade?

Very elegant and stately piece. I can imagine it in a beautiful home in the tropics.

Beautiful project!!! I love the choice of wood and I think the shade goes perfectly with it. I also would like to know what woods are used. Great job.

Beautiful piece. All of us here in Ohio wish that we had access to that much Koa. We’re all jealous, you know!
