*Beside loving WOODWORKING I LOVE being a Clown. So I built a Calliope. I found a picture of a Calliope and put it in a Corel Draw program and blew it up 164% and printed it out, pasted it together and made a templete to work with. I used marine grade 3/4” plywood for the sides, front and back and 3/4 pine 1X4’s and 6’s for the scroll designs. I used 2” PVC pipe for the organ pipes and mounted a CD Player in the front along with a 12V car battery and two diesel air horn pumps inside. One of the air horn pumps I use to blow up balloons and the other I use to blow an air horn that’s mounted on the back. I simpley take out a big red hankerchief and put in on my big nose and push the button while pretending to blow my nose. It has always gotten a big laugh. The calliope is mounted on a wagon frame and I can either pull it with a wagon handle or I have another hitch so I can pull it with a golf cart or some other trike or scooter. As this is my first time posting anything on here I will try and do better next time. I’m not sure how the pictures are going to turn out because of the lighting and if necessary I will re-do it. So please let me know what you think. And I LOVE being a LumberJoc. What a great group!!*

Great job on the Calliope, and a good story to boot.

Wow! I’ve always wanted to do an armour in a old medicine or circus style. Great project.

You are quite gifted. Your Calliope looks great and the fact that you spread laughter is great also.
