Window Frame

Project by Rick posted 100 days ago 311 views 1 time favorited 8 comments Add to Favorites Watch

We had a very boring looking window above our front door. I had some nice poplar trim leftover from another project. I used 2 coats of red mahogany gel stain. It doesn’t look like poplar anymore.

Rick, this is nice looking trim.

Your project is a great case for a point that I try to make to woodworkers. Poplar wood is a great alternative to more expensive woods. It can be stained to resemble other woods, it is stable, and the cost is very reasonable.

This is a secret that the contractors have known for quite some time.

Good Job!
