Built this for my father in laws office. Made from pine. It was left unfinished because my father in law wanted to paint it himself and pick out hardware for the drawers. I haven’t had a chance to get updated pictures since he finished it.

Thankyou Bob. It took the longest time for me to make. Mainly because I could only work on it for a few hours at a time between work and family activities. also the largest build at the time I’ve ever done. It was a huge challenge for my skill set, but very rewarding.

Very nice! I need to build myself something just like it. Is this your design?
-- Chris - Would work, but I'm too busy reading about woodwork.

Great looking project! Why would he want to paint it? A clear finish would bring out the grain and knots, making IMHO, a nice piece of furniture. JMHO.Edit: Went back and looked at the pictures in detail. The corner cabinet with the file slots is awesome!

My, but I like this one. I need to build something close to this for one of my sons and my daughter-in-law who share a small home office.

Thankyou all for the compliments. I never expected all the kind words when I joined this site. chris- yes it was my design. I unfortunately don't have sketch up, just pencil paper and imagination. knothead62- I guess I should’ve been more specific, and I agree with you on no paint. He does a really nice white wash or some might call it pickling, I think, that still shows the grain and knots. And thankyou about the file slots. That was a must have for him because he owns a painting And restoration company and keeps all the jobs in binders until they get filed away.
