Project Information

Here is a scroll saw project that my sweet lady did that I wanted to share. She made four of these for her brothers and nephews to be gifts last Christmas. I did help a little, by making the base and help her get it as round as round can be by making her a jig… Any time we get to spend together (even in the shop) is a very good time…. ;-)

It is made of three layers of 1/4" material, front to back it is Maple, Walnut, and Mahogany.

She found the pattern on page 10 in the Jan 2000 issue of "Creative Woodworks & Crafts" - Pattern by Marilyn Carmin

That is really beautiful. The orientation of the grain adds to the scenic quality even in the walnut. Very cool!!!
