Here is a scroll saw project that my sweet lady did that I wanted to share. She made four of these for her brothers and nephews to be gifts last Christmas. I did help a little, by making the base and help her get it as round as round can be by making her a jig… Any time we get to spend together (even in the shop) is a very good time…. ;-)

It is made of three layers of 1/4” material, front to back it is Maple, Walnut, and Mahogany.

She found the pattern on page 10 in the Jan 2000 issue of “Creative Woodworks & Crafts” – Pattern by Marilyn Carmin

That is really beautiful. The orientation of the grain adds to the scenic quality even in the walnut. Very cool!!!

Beautiful 3d effect. It’s great the two of you can enjoy time together in the shop. It’s really a great piece of art.
