Here is a stool I made that was a gift for my mother last Christmas. One day I will setup proper photos, but I took the pictures of this two days before Christmas – Yes, I was running up to the last minute..;-)
It is made of Red Oak with Walnut plugs.

Hey Walnut_Weasel – I did put a finish on it. Since I was running short on time, I put a satin spray poly. BTW: I like your avatar (icon)..

Hey Miss Gurnie,
It is my own design. I looked at many similar stools and liked different elements of each, then I drew this one up… If I remember correctly, I was able to get the entire stool out of one 3’ 1×8 piece of oak…
