i have two vintage radial arm saws, both of which i use regularly.
RAS are good at certain tasks, primarily as cut-off saws and for dadoing.
(if used for miter cuts, or for ripping, a RAS tends to need constant attention to determine that it remains square and accurate.) to overcome the need to set the saw for miters etc., as work-arounds, i have instead created jigs, like shop-made angle-squares, that allow me not to have to move the saws’ arms, and thus keep the saw square all the time.

Cool saws. I have one very similar to the one on the left. Is it a Rockwell?
I totally wore mine out. I do prefer RAS’s for certain tasks.
Thanks for sharing
