I originally saw this image as a tattoo and thought it would make a really nice wood burning project. This will be a Christmas present for my dad this year. The quote reads: “There are two gifts you should give to your children: One is roots and the other is wings”. I had a tough time finding a quote to fit the picture after it was burned and a friend recommended this one, I think it fit perfectly.
This was a waste piece of walnut that came off the top of a log that I had milled a while back. It actually worked great using the sapwood side of the piece.
