This is my cordless drill station. I currently have a full size 18v (20v Max) honkin hammer drill/driver, a compact drill/driver, and an impact driver hanging there. In the pic, there’s an old corded 3/8” B&D drill rather than the compact drill/driver. The charger, as well as two 12v chargers for my Bosch 12v tools on the top. I put a powerstrip at the back of the unit, which means I only have to make a single power connection to the wall.

The unit is made of 1/2” Baltic Birch.

Looks quite functional to me. But I bet after a while, you’ll wish you had made it with a few empty slots, or you’ll be making another one. :-)

Actually, keeping the number of slots where it’s at helps to control my drill/driver/impact driver addiction. The only time I’ve ever found a need for another drill/driver was Thanksgiving 2014, when my sons were helping me put down my OSB on sleeper floor. I only had the big drill plus my Bosch 12v, and the pair of impacts. A third drill would’ve been handy. Well, now I have the third drill, a DeWalt 20vMax XR compact. The Bosch’s live directly behind my workbench, and get the lion’s share of the work. The second DeWalt battery charger is in a go-bag, so I can just toss whichever tools are necessary in and be off.

If it weren’t for fiscal considerations plus the slot limit, I’d probably be adding a pair of Milwaukee 18v Fuel to the stable, as well as that nifty Bosch with the 1/4” Impact hex and 1/2” Impact square. Did I mention that I have an genetic disposition to cordless tool addiction?

Your stations look like they might get together some night and, boom, 9 days later you’ll have a third one.

I’ve never let a limited tool stand limit my tool purchases! I just make another holder :)
