An umbrella table made out of cypress. This is my most challenging project to-date. I went the whole nine yards on this, starting with rough-cut lumber purchased at a hardwood dealer in Memphis (highly recommended: Colco Fine Woods and Tools).
Several firsts on this project beginning with using rough lumber. Also, never done a mortise and tenon joint before. This one has FIFTY-EIGHT of them! This table was almost the death of me. I poured more blood, sweat, and tears into this (literally) than anything preceding. But I am so happy with how it turned out. Took about six weeks.
These were EXCELLENT plans I got from Popular Mechanics

You did a great job on your table. You’ll never be able to say mortise and tenon joints are a first for you. lol
58 of them should have you very experienced by now. Thanks for sharing.

Nice! I feel your pain. This exact table was also my first major project and my first attempt at mortise and tenon and like you it was almost the death of me. Glad yours turned out great, all the effort definitely makes it extra special.
