Cherry wall

Project by Kabashu posted 105 days ago 432 views 3 times favorited 9 comments Add to Favorites Watch

Did this project for a friend. His wife showed me a picture in a magazine and said “I want that, on this wall”. I made all the moldings except the crown. She loved it and I love a challenge.

I guess you hand sanded down the larger panels? What did you use for a finish?

What an improvement over the plain white wall.

This is a project that I really enjoyed seeing. I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as too much wood in a house and this post only confirms that philosophy. The cherry wall certainly transformed the look of the room and created a nice focal point for the room.

Nice job!

Great job. Looks very elegant. My only thought is that you should have build out around the TV,or recessed into the wall. Not a criticism, just an observation.

Oh i had many ideas for improvements but they wanted EXACTLY what was in the picture. The finish is a custom mix of Zar oil stains and brushed on Poly. Thanks

Looks great! I`m in the process of doing a mohogany
wall very similar. I`ll post it when it`s complete.
