These simple projects were made over the Thanksgiving holidays for a BBQ benefit w/live auction to help some neighbors that were injured in early Sept in a terrible car crash.
A simple 5 board bench was fluffed up with a decorative front, built by myself and and painted by my wife. She also covered the clay pots with tissue paper and Mod Podge for a really girly take on simple clay pots.
The doll cradle is V2.1 version of my design. After V1.0, I decided to integrate the rockers into the end pieces for simplicity which I splayed a few degrees for effect. My proudest moment during construction was when I free handed the arc of the side pieces on the first try! I did have the forethought to use the first pieces as templates for easy duplication with a jigsaw and router. It is designed for 12in dolls. It is simple white pine 1×12 from the home store and a 1/4in ply bottom. It is screwed and glued and the screw holes capped with rounded plugs. Again painted by my wife.
Thanks for looking at my projects and any comments or critiques are welcomed.
