I like making tools more than furniture. Actually….not really. but its close! All made from Bubinga and African Blackwood.
Straight edge—> 36L x 2 1/4H x 3/4T
Winding sticks—> 30L x 2 1/4H x 5/8T inlayed on both sides so I can use either one in front or back.
Mallet—> handle 9” long and head is 4L x 2 1/2H. Its a little on the heavy side. but I want to try using it for a while before I decide to make the irreversible decision of cutting some material off to save some weight.
Thanks for looking and hope you like
Marco

You could bore holes through the mallet head and fill them with dowels of different wood species to adjust the weight.. That is if the mallet head isn’t already filled with something. Nice work!

You did a fantastic job. I’m with you on the joy of making tools, by the way.
Nice lines on the straight edge.

Made some winding sticks from Jatoba a while back and noticed that they had a slight arch to them after a few months in the shop? Just something to watch out for in the future especially on the straight edge. Mine are a bit smaller so not sure what the difference might be.
