This was done as a tribute case to my father in law who had passed and served honorably in the Air Force. I wanted to add a special feature as he is buried at Arlington with a picture of the marker.

The case was made with maple and Purple Heart after measuring the flag. The Purple Heart accent trim is 1/2” which I took inspiration from the kings case.

I hope to present the case to my mother in law for Christmas, the flag in the case is another flag I had until I can get the actual flag.

The picture I had from the service at Arlington and applied by printing to laser print and then applied with mod podge glue over night. Wanted to get a vintage look so it could be passed down for future generations.

Thanks for looking.

Nice job on this project! I will try the image idea on the back of my father’s flag display case after obtaining a similar camera angle. Thanks for posting.

Great job, I like the photo on the back hadn’t seen that on these cases before. I need to do this for my grandfather’s flag. He was also buried at Arlington. What are your dimensions?

From most others each flag can very in size which it is best to measure each flag. My box is 17.5 up each side and 23.5 across the bottom inside measurements.

OK good, I’d heard not all burial flags can be the same dimensions, so I’ll be sure to measure.
Thanks.
