A quick project that I made from some acacia scraps. Ever get tired of burning your fingers plucking toast out of the toaster? Me too!

I wondered how to fix that ;-) Nice idea. Looks like the 2 parts are glued together?

I like everything about this! Even how you laid out the tongs on top of the toaster to give a sense of scale at the same time explaining what it is. Very nicely done.

I’m going to make a set tomorrow. Surely the 2 parts are just glued together.

Thank you guys! Bob and Dave – yes indeed, the two halves are just glued together. I did consider putting a couple of small dowels through to strengthen the joint but it doesn’t really seem to need it. Time will tell.

My wife was looking for a pair of big tongs at the store the other day and didn’t find any. Maybe I’ll super size them when I get a little free time in the shop.
