I had some walnut and maple scraps left over from a previous segment/stave project … just couldn’t let them go to waste.

The barrel is 2” in diameter … walls about 1/8” thick. The finial, icicle, and end caps are Brazilian Cherry.

The icicle is too short … it split while I was turning the tip and I was out of Brazilian Cherry so I had to make do.

Looks great. I’m not sure that anyone besides yourself would know that the ice cycle is too short. I like it as it turned out (no pun intended).

Thanks … I appreciate that! The proportions are bad, and I figured if I didn’t own up to it, one of the resident ‘critics’ here would rub my nose in it!

Very fine workmanship on something so small.
