So I built this quilt rack out of 8/4 alder. It was based off of the quilt ladder idea but I added a base so it could stand on its own. Its 48” tall and has 26” clear width for quilts. The rungs have wedged tenon joinery that locks the whole thing together. I stained it a dark mahogany and left the tenon wedges (eastern maple) natural so they would stand out. Ended up very sturdy and functional.
-- Measure once cut twice and if it's still too short cut it again.
