Recently finished this piece for submission to an upcoming showing at the Museum of Wisconsin Art. As often seems to happen, I find a nice piece of wood and then figure out what kind of box will be a good match. In this case, I started with a book matched piece of Ziricote that I have been saving for close to 10 years. The figure of the piece needed to be highlighted in something special. The legs and drawer handle cross pieces are also Ziricote.

What a beautiful box. One of the best I have seen!. I really like the style and the handles. I see why you saved that piece of wood of ten years, never seen anything like it! Wonderful job!
