Finally my headboard is complete, now all i need is a new mattress…. It changed from the original designs slightly, I used oak instead or cherry because of the cost and I added the walnut frame in the center panels to give it some depth. The face frame acts as one big mortise and tenon with the legs but I also added some dowels for extra support. Enjoy!

very nice tim…good job and i love the colors….im working on a project now with some similar colors…i cant wait for it to be done…might be a few weeks though…..but watch for the grizzmans next post….....

I ran a stop dado in the legs and made the frame an inch and a half long to fit in the dado, so its like a modified mortise and tenon, and im not a fan of footboards plus this one made this college kids wallet alittle thin haha

Nice style.

-- Life is about choices. You can spend a lot of money on furniture and have really nice furniture; Or you can spend a lot on tools and have even more expensive, crappy furniture. I made my choice.
