Well, all you makers of beautiful boxes have done slung a craving on me. after seeing all these beautiful boxes yall have been making I decided I wanted to learn to make them. Im not there yet, but im learning. I finally figured out how to make one of those box joint jigs, I think. I really need a dado blade to use the jig but I didnt have one. I think it turn fairly well though. My show room model is still on call, any time she sees a camera shes gona get in front of it. Its made of Poplar stained colonial cherry and white oak top and bottom, satin lacquer for finish, But I think Im gona try gloss on the next one. Thanks

griff,
Good lookin’ box! I will say this though, ya better not let your model quit on you. She definitely brightens things up! I can tell you live too near that CharlieM1958 also, both of you got those square corners down pat!-LOL. I’m beginning too think that those boxes are a little on the dark side, I mean habit forming or something, kinda like those wood turners they just keep spinning another piece of wood-be carefull and don’t abandon that great furniture you been building!

Sincerely,
Ken McGinnis

I’m down to the last model I’m going to raise. I ‘ve two left at home and three on their own. I guess the quality of my work is going to go down when they leave. Nice box!!! She does wonders for it.
