That is some beautiful wood. Sorry you had to waste it on your mother.
Is the wood solid or did you make veneer and glue it on a substrate. I’ve made a few 3 ring binders and used veneer over 1/4” plywood. I also used a piano hindge for the hinges. I can’t make out what your hinges are.

Karson, no worries I have quite a bit more of this board. It is all solid wood. I resawed some slices and bookmarched them. The hinges are piano hinges too.
