Picket Fenced Wastebasket

The can is well worn and has been painted a few times but the can has held up well.
Once again, a product with the picket fence theme we have all around our home.

I constructed it from 1/4” plywood and 1×4 pine. The corners were the fun part of the project. I wanted the to wrap around the can. Since I was using just 1×4 I took two pickets and beveled opposing long edges at a 45 degree cut and attached the there.

The bottom the can is about an inch above the bottom of the pickets resting in a dado cut into each of the side.
