Working as a teatre tailor I have long thinking about to make a small tread holder for big tread rolls for my sewing room.

So yesterday I made this one.

Above the center of the role is a small iron ring in witch the tread is passing and then directly to the sewing machine. On that way it is no problem to use a big tread role for a household machine.

The design of the botton is inspired of a “medival door hinge” picture I found on internet.

Very handy and decorative thread holder! I like it when you put a bit of design into a working piece like that!!

Nice going!!. I admire your spirit. You can do anything if you put your mind to it!!

Cheers, Jim

I must agree with Jim, if you’re going to make a tool or other useful item, you may as well make it beautiful! Lovely design, Brinth. Thank you for sharing.
