This decorative and functional bench is constructed of sassafras with a curly maple lid. The box is joined with box joints.This ended up in the mother-in-laws house and sits next to her favorite chair with some old vinyl records in it.

Hi, I am sorry I saw this bench so late and am surprised how I missed it. You have made a very nice bench and everything in it looks good. I never knew sassafras wood is used in furniture. The curly maple top looks beautiful.
