This letter box is constructed of ingrown bark maple. The lid has a Sapele veneer panel. The corner pegs are ebony.

The inside pencil tray and bottom of the box are covered with chocolate brown suede flocking.

Very nice box. Really like the design of the lid and legs. Give this a little something extra. Wonderfull choice of woods.

Great job. Keep it up.

Great box, great idea…our mail just piles up until I sort it and through 90% of it away…a project like this would clean up the desk in the kitchen.

I like the integral feet. Was it planned that way, or did that just sort of happen?

Very nice! Might I suggest you use a larger, contrasting spline that echo the pegs. This is such a nice example of Greene & Greene, the splines will really jazz up the lid.

Thanks so much everyone. Skully, I thought about the spline, but in the end decided I didn’t want to detract from the top. When I was done I thought it was missing something and you are right, ebony splines.
