Scrollsaw Blade Holder

Simple and quick! I had seen this in Wood Magazine years ago, even made one back then. I got rid of everything and I’m rebuilding my tool collection.

Anyway the one that was in Wood had caps on both ends. I didn’t like that because you had to drill such a big hole so I used my half inch plug cutter to plug the end. and the seventh hole is for when you have a blade in your saw you can put the tube that it came from there. That way you don’t need to strain you brain or your eye’s trying to figure out which blade you left in the saw the last time you used it. I use a sharpie to write blade style and TPI on the side.

1/2” PVC and caps
Scraps of 1/2” plywood
7/8” holes
1/2” Plug cutter

It really is a quickie to built. And makes blade storage easy.

I think you have been in my shop. I built the same thing years ago and still use it today. Works for me

Great idea. Reminds me of a lab test tube rack… I’ve built some a while back. All I need now is a scroll saw…..

Cleaver idea—think I’ll steal it ;-)

Thanks BK but you will be stealing something that I stole. I made one years ago from a magazine I just don’t remember which one. Maybe Wood or maybe Shop Notes. As I get older my brain forgets little things like that. I like to tell everyone that ”I’m older then dirt and twice as filthy”

Druid, this is something you should have already come up with! Anyone that can hide a golf ball in a post should have been able top come up with this! That golf ball thing was just way to cool !!!!!!!! I didn’t see it until you had already driven a bunch of people crazy, actually pissed off a few. LOL

Hi Rod. Well I finally got around to building 2 of these so that my son also has one now. Thanks for the idea.

Sorry, but I didn’t include a golf ball somewhere. ;)
