A woman I work with is retiring after 40 years. Other people in my office are throwing a retirement party at the end of the month for her. They asked me to build a wishing well. This was what I came up with. I wished I had made up plans because I may build one of these again sometime. I haven’t put a finish on it yet but plan on spar urethane to make it last longer in outdoor conditions. I found examples all over the internet of different styles of these. This project was made from recycled fence pickets from a neighbors fence. I have made projects from the stuff before. It turned out to be a neat project.

Nice work Joe. You’ve certainly got a great knack for finding and using old wood, and good looking wood at that.

Very nice.
I’m not crazy about the ones that are made to imitate brick. This is more realistic.
Good Job!

Very nice wishing well. Great use of reclaimed wood ( hope fully your neighbor knows you stole his fence?)haha
Nice design and great build.
While you still have it you might want to draw up a plan. As you said, would make building another one easier.
Keep it up.
